Hey all,
I’ve been going through another interesting period of life which has been requiring a slew of big decisions, so here’s somewhat of an update.
1. As some of you know, I attend UC Berkeley for their Public Health program. I’ve been very unhappy with the program so far and have decided to withdraw.
2. Subsequent to my withdrawal from the program, I will be moving back east. I’m pretty excited and comforted by the thought of the move because I’ll be living back around family and my old friends for the first time in seven years.
3. When I move back, I will be opening my Crossfit gym. I’m still very much in the planning phase/business development phase but I’m excited to be actively practicing medicine again, albeit preventative medicine. As I’ve opened up to others about my plans I have received a ton of support which has been very affirming for me.
4. I’ve started another tumblr, which I’d enjoy if you supported as well: http://slurf.tumblr.com/ . It will be a surf blog with a focus on the longboarding/retro board culture.
Stay tuned for more developments. I’ll try to keep up with this tumblr a bit more.

I drove through the night to make it to Swami’s for dawn patrol and the wind showed up in full effect. Everywhere is blown out right now and I haven’t slept in 36 hours. It’s about to get interesting. I think I smell funny, too.
